Advertising, and the assbutt factor
Ok, so, promoting your web skills via your website is fine, and great, and understood. But make sure you’re actually decent at what you’re doing.
I’m going to link to this here, but I hope eventually it doesn’t look like ass, because I emailed the guy to let him know that it’s all broken, at least in Firefox. Given the abundance of MS and Adobe techs listed there, I’m guessing he can’t fix it. Just a guess. I mean, they’re simple problems… if you really understand what you’re doing.
My blog, sure, some parts may not look quite right in IE, but it also isn’t heinously broken.

Hi Fargo,
Thanks for your concern. I think the problem is with older versions of Firefox. I have not fixed it, partly due to time and partly as it works with popular up to date browsers (IE 7, Safari 3, Firefox 2/3). I have tested on Mac, Windows, iPhone. However I know there was an issue with one of the menu items wrapping around with Firefox 1 which I can’t replicate. I would be grateful of a screenshot if you have the time. However I would not class this as “heinously broken”.
Unfortunately I do not have the time to support legacy technologies on my site due to workload.
Please could I also clarify that I am not affiliated to Adobe in any way other than I specialise in Adobe Flex development.
Regards,
Jon

I didn’t mean to indicate you were affiliated with them, sorry if it comes across that way, just that you obviously use some very large frameworks that, in my experience, rarely work out very well in the long run, at least without a lot of tweaking.
Anyway, it’s still broken. Unless you intend for it to look this way, which I doubt a lot since it’s an attractive site overall. Screenshots forthcoming. At the time I wrote this, I was using Firefox 2, and now I’m using 3 beta 5.
